While I am still in my prime, I enjoy the flexibility of being able to do just about any physical activity out there. I’m no pro-athlete, but luckily I had a mom who cared about what I ate as a child. More fruits and vegetables, with less on the hydrogenated fat side. One of my main reasons for having a blog that focuses on healthy recipes is due to the ever growing problem of obesity, not only in America, but all over the world. We need to be more educated about how it begins and prevent it happening to ourselves and our children. Don’t be afraid to be the one who makes a difference.

What’s the big deal? Well, it’s not that we are only impairing ourselves, but that it is affecting the young generations. Children look up to their parents as examples of how to be and (unfortunately) how not to be.

You guessed it, obesity also affects surgery. This side affect, I didn’t realize, but it completely makes sense. Sorry to be blunt, but its true nonetheless, there is more fat that the doctors must cut through in order for them to do the work that is necessary for our bodies to perform properly.
