1. Join a cooking class. No, you don’t have to go to some fancy 1/2 way around the world French cooking school. Check out your local news site. You may be surprised at what you find.

2. Check out the American Heart Association. No, they don’t exactly give a lot of help in the kitchen, but they will give you tips on how to keep your heart healthy and happy throughout your life, whether it be your diet of exercise.

3. Go to a cooking show. Yep, you read that right. Emeril Lagassi… who wouldn’t want to in his audience and get great food. Mmmm… Maybe a little on the expensive side, but how could you not want to try that same meal or others after being in his kitchen studio

4. Participate in a Race for Life. Become an active member fighting for the lives of others while also helping out those muffin tops too.

5. Find a local spice shop. You could buy them online at The Spice House, but lets be honest, to smell them all, in person, wow. Why not? The spices in your cupboard or above your stove may have expired  years ago and could definitely alter the flavor of the recipe.
