Who can resist the smell of well-cooked food? Well, I have a hard time with it.
Withe the rise in eating outside of the home due to the convenience, such as:
- 486,899 Number of food-and-drink establishments in 1997, a 24% increase from 1987.
- 4.2 The number of meals, including lunches, that the average American eats out each week.
- 78% Percentage of individuals who think that the type of food they eat is more important than the amount of food they eat when watching their weight
- $136 MILLION The amount that’s waiting to be spent by consumers every day at 4 P.M. as they decide what to eat for dinner.
In all, this is a blog solely dedicated to re-awakening the kitchen with all of its spices, pots, measuring spoons, and other glorious concoctions associated with it all. However, there is a slight twist. Not too crazy, don’t worry. It is simply that it is health based recipes.
The best part about all of all of this is that this is not rocket science. You don’t have to go to 2 years of culinary art school in France to allow the same food come from it.
With the trend of obesity rising in the United States, thus giving rise to the number coronary diseases (heart attacks, failures, etc.) let’s take a bite out of it all and try and give back to others as we help ourselves as well.
